Non-Official Travel for Diplomats Accredited to Senegal

Diplomats accredited to Senegal (and their immediate family members in diplomatic status), seeking visas for non-official travel to the United States, are not required to make a prior appointment through our call center.

Instead, the applicant's documents should be brought to the U.S. Embassy Consular Section on Monday - Thursday between 14:00 and 16:00. All applicants must complete an Electronic Visa Application Form (EVAF) by clicking hereWe cannot accept handwritten applications. Please print the application and include the bar code on Page3. Applicants must also sign the application (an original signature - faxed signatures are not accepted) and attach a 50mm x 50mm photograph taken within the last six months with a white background. We also require a Note Verbale from the applicant's embassy or consulate verifying that the applicant is currently accredited to the Government of Senegal. Finally, please be sure that the applicant's passport is a diplomatic passport with at least six months of validity remaining. If all the documents are in order, the applicant will usually be seen for an interview the following Wednesday afternoon. Please note that for visas related to non-official travel, even accredited diplomats are required to appear for a visa interview and have their fingerprints taken.

Unfortunately, we can not guarantee same day issuance - in general, we need at least 24 hours to print a visa. In addition, because the MRV fee is waived for this type of application, regulations require that the visa be issued in the applicant's diplomatic passport.
