The U.S. Embassy at the Dakar International Book Fair

The United States Embassy in Senegal participated in the 11th International Book Fair of Dakar, December 4 - 9. On this occasion, the American diplomatic mission, in cooperation with Nouveaux Horizons of the Africa Regional Services (ARS) from Paris, exhibited books on a wide variety of themes. New this year was the presentation of books in Arabic and teaching materials for learning English. The African-American writer Eddy Harris, visiting Senegal, was a guest speaker during the book fair, speaking on "An African-American in Paris."
